Debian Information
Debian is the main distribution we use here. It works well on all the platformns we use. It differs from other distributions in that it is entirely built by volunteer labour --- there is no company backing it (unlike, say, Redhat or Suse).
Getting Debian
You can get Debian for Itanium by following the instructions at http://www.debian.org/ports/ia64/
